Last week the EDG Board held an emergency meeting to discuss a local business that was having funding issues because of the way that the state changed the way that funds will be distributed.
The EDG board decided that they would loan the business, Clay County Head Start and Early Head Start, half of the funds that were needed. But at this time, the day care has another source available and EDG will not need to provide any assistance, Economic Development Director Lori Huber reported to commissioners Monday.
Huber also reported:
* The E-Team Leadership Team has added three new members to their team and has set a new vision and mission statement as their goal.
* Huber reviewed the programs that are available to someone new moving into the County since Clay County is being added to the Kansas Rural Opportunity Zones.
